Sclerotherapy is one of the non-surgical treatments available to treat varicose veins widely used around the world. It involves the injection of specialised chemicals into varicose veins which act on the vein walls to bring about closure of the varicose veins. Dr Andronicus undertakes a comprehensive assessment of each patient, including a detailed history, examination and ultrasound investigation. From this evaluation, she can determine if sclerotherapy is the most appropriate treatment option and then carefully plan an individualised treatment course.
