Expert care for Vascular Conditions and Disease
The South Sydney Vascular Centre offers the services of experienced vascular surgeons and doctors along with a team of diagnostic specialists with a referral from your GP or family doctor. Successful non-invasive or minimally invasive procedures are performed regularly at the Centre in the Sutherland Shire.
Established in 1995 by Dr Gabrielle McMullin and Mr Neil Keller, South Sydney Vascular Centre (SSVC) aims to provide truly comprehensive assessment and treatment of vascular diseases of the circulatory system (arteries, veins and lymphatics) as well as advanced ultrasound diagnostics and expertise.
SSVC is currently a member of the Australasian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine and provides ongoing education and training through the organisation. Sonographer training has also been provided in association with the University of Sydney post-graduate degree program. Many of our trained sonographers have gone on to share their expertise and knowledge in vascular medicine facilities across Australia.
Patient services in Vascular Medicine
Among the many vascular procedures SSVC performs are endovascular surgery, the repair of aortic aneurysms, cerebrovascular assessment, treatment of peripheral arterial disease, varicose veins, leg ulcers and more.
The centre offers medical services by referral only for our doctors or diagnostic appointments Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm. A referral is a legal document with private medical information which must be obtained from your GP or family physician.
We can advise you whether your consultation or treatment is eligible for a Medicare rebate or health insurance claim when you book your appointment with us.
